Help does he like me?

Help!!! He's been texting me all the time with kisses all of a sudden....he always stares at me and insults me friendly..tonight, he texted me saying, 'are we more than friends do you think we'd be good in a relationship xxxxxxxxx' and I replied 'is that really you?' and he said 'yeah xxxxxx' then i put 'I dunno though xxxxx' and he replied after ages saying 'that weren't me it was davy xxxxxxxxxx' (Someone he hates...) But why would be out with his mates at 11 o clock at night, and give someone who he hates his phone>>> Some one help :/
