Evolution and the affect on the (or my) human ego?

Not everything can be proven by science. You can't put love in a test tube, for example. You can't quantify it, but you know it exists. Spirituality is the same way. You can know it's there, you can experience it and find value in it, even though you can't neatly test and label it.
